Panera Bread is located in The Avenue in Viera. They’re known for their soups and sandwiches.
We visited Panera Bread recently and wanted to share our thoughts with all of you.
We haven’t been to Panera in years so we wanted to try it again and see if anything has changed. We picked up dinner via curbside through the Panera app.

Half of a Half, Literally

This is a You Pick Two. It’s half of a Napa Almond Chicken Salad sandwich with a cup of broccoli cheese soup and a baguette. The chicken salad was very skimpy for a half of a sandwich. It seemed that there was more tomato and lettuce than the actual chicken salad. Despite all this, the bread on the sandwich was soft and so was the chicken in the chicken salad.

This is a You Pick Two. It’s a half of a Toasted Steak and White Cheddar sandwich (the sandwich comes on artisan ciabatta but they were out of it on this night) with a cup of broccoli cheese soup, and a bag of chips. The steak was pretty tender. There were some chewy pieces here and there but not as much as we were expecting. The mayo added extra creaminess along with the white cheddar. The broccoli cheese soup was yummy. It was light, cheesy, and had a nice amount of broccoli and carrots.
Fuji with a Taste of Autumn

This is the Fuji Apple Salad with Chicken, a cup of the Autumn squash soup, and a baguette. The soup was creamy, smooth, and rich. It had the right amount of sweetness without it being over the top. The baguette was soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The salad was a nice portion but could’ve used more chicken. The gorgonzola cheese that comes on the salad is substituted here with feta cheese. This was an up-charge which we thought was a bit steep.
Closing Thoughts
Every time we visited this specific location, they were always skimpy which is why we haven’t gone back until now. The food itself is decent considering the price tag on some of the items that Panera sells.
